For the past 12 years friends have gathered at an annual outing we call Campapalozza. Usually a weekend just after school gets out (for our teacher friends), but before it becomes to hot, and the river too slow to raft. With the massive rain this year, the Delaware river has the highest and fastest of the 12 years going. We rafted 10 miles down to Matamoras. Of course during setup we were drenched in a huge storm, but it kept the temperature low. And yes a few of us stop at Dairy Queen on the ride home .. it is another weird tradition.
